In Tynemouth (Preston) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War grave with a private headstone of 84957 Private J.A. Kent serving with the 4th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers who died 10/12/1918.

The headstone reads:

Pvte. James Arthur Kent
No. 85497 (4th Res. Batt) N.F.
Died Dec. 10th 1918
aged 17 years.
In loving memory of
Samuel Kent
father of the above
died March 6th 1937 aged 80 years.
