In Noyelles-sur-L'Escaut Communal Cemetery Extension is the Commonwealth War Grave of 238067 Lance Corporal Robert Edward Younger, serving with the South Staffordshire Regiment who died 29/09/1918.

Soldiers Died in the Great War states that he enlisted in Alnwick and lived in Belford; He formerly served with the Northumberland Fusiliers with the service number of 3848.

Robert Edward Younger is remembered in Lucker on L38.01 and L38.04 page 10, in Belford on B16.01 and in the Alnwick Gazette Almanack page 59.
