In Durnbach War Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1495199 Sergeant (Navigator) Samuel Taylor Kerr, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, who died 13/09/1944.

Sgt Kerr was killed when Avro Lancaster I LM103 CF-N of 625 Squadron was lost on a mission to Frankfurt, with the loss of all eight crew members.
