Beadnell, G., Pte., 1914-18
Pauline Priano has submitted the following information:-

George Beadnell joined the Yorkshire Regiment and was assigned to the 7th Battalion with the rank of Private 14396, September 3rd 1914. The Battalion was formed in Richmond as part of K2 attached to the 50th Brigade, 17th Northern Division, moved to Wareham in May 1915 and went on to Romsay. He entered the theatre of war July 13th 1915 and landed in Boulogne the following day, the battalion moved into the southern Ypres sector in the following days. During his service he was transferred to the Durham Light Infantry as Private 106532 and later discharged March 20th 1919 under King’s Regulations 392 (iiia), (surplus to military requirements) and assigned Silver Badge number 145854.

His military service was acknowledged with the award of the 1915 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal. Age, date of death and circumstances as yet unknown.
