Memorial Description
Communion table and two chairs. The table is 2 feet 6 inches high x 3 feet 9 inches wide. It has a dropped front on which the words “This do in remembrance of Me” are carved in half relief using Gothic script. There is a circular boss with cross on the front bearer. The details are given on a brass plaque 5 inches high x 8 inches wide with a plain line border inset into the table top.

in loving memory of their two sons:-
2nd Lieut Henry Greener, 6th D.L.I. who was
killed in action 14th April,1917 aged 23 years
and
Cpl. John William Greener, 19th N.F. who was wounded
9th April 1917 and died 6th March 1919 aged 22 years

2. In St.Thomas Churchyard is a Commonwealth War Grave headstone which reads:

3. The Greener Brothers are also remembered on

4. These were handed back to the Greener family following the sale of the building. In April 2017 they were donated to Beamish Museum and a special service took place Good Friday April 14th.
