Vase 10 inches high of kind popular in churches. The dedication is incised near the bottom in sans serif lettering.

Notes

1. F/Lt. Barrass was serving with 166 Sqdn. He was a crew member of Lancaster I PD397 AS-V which took off from Kirmington on a mission to Koln. IT crashed in the target area. All were killed except one who was taken prisoner.
This was a Christmas Eve when 8 aircraft failed to come home from their missions.

2. He is remembered on H116.02 and H116.07
