Each light has at the top the winged symbol of the four evangelists: an eagle (St.John); lion (St.Mark); bull (St.Luke); man (St. Matthew). The dedication is carried on a scroll at the bottom of the two inner lights. At the bottom of the two central lights is a scroll giving the details.
Underneath is a brass plaque 14 inches high x 40 inches wide bearing the Binyon quotation.
Beneath this are two vertical brass plaques on plain wood pattresses each 26 inches high x 16 inches wide. These bear the names listed in a single column on each, using Roman capitals.
