In St.Hilaire Cemetery, Frevent, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 202434 Gunner John Hope, serving with the Royal Field Artillery who died 28/03/1918.

Julie Famelton has provided the following:

He was born in Warkworth in 1893, the son of Robert and Thomasin Hope of Warkworth, and was a groom. He joined up December 14th 1914 and served in France in January 1917. He then transferred to the Royal Field Artillery. He died March 28th 1918 in No 6 Stationery Hospital from wounds received the previous day at Bethune, and was buried Frevert St Hilare Cemetery, Daullens. He was killed in the German offensive in The First Battle of the Somme 1918, The First Battle of Arras.
