Memorial Description

Plaque 2 feet 3 inches (684mm) high x 3 feet (914mm) wide. There is a patterned border, and a cross in the centre top. Names are arranged in three columns, according to where the people lived. The dedication and place headings are all in Roman capital letters, while the names are in lower case. The quotation "Greater love . . . " is in Gothic script.
Above is a double socket for flags.

This tablet is erected to the glory of God and in loving memory of / all those, men and women who patriotically assisted by joining / the colours to prosecute the Great War to a successful issue and also to the / sacred, proud and undying memory of the following both of the regular, new and territorial army who gallantly and nobly responded to their country's / call in the hour of need and made the supreme sacrifice in the Great War of 1914-1918.
