Morpeth Herald 26/10/1917 carries a brief obituary:
News has been received that Captain Charles J.H. Adamson, Northumberland Fusiliers, husband of Mrs Georgina [sic] Adamson, and only son of Mr and Mrs Adamson, Kirkhill, Cambo, has been killed in action.
Charles was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Adamson, of Kirkhill, and the husband of Georgiana Adamson, of The Quest, Ponteland.
