Memorial Description
Pair of candlesticks, approx. 5 feet high, which rest on octagonal feet. At the bottom of the upright on both candlesticks is a cross with the letters A / M D / C ("Ad Maiorem Dei Gloria: "To the greater glory of God"). The inscription is different on each candlestick, but in each case the wording is written in the hexagonal portions using Gothic upper and lower case lettering.
