McKenzie/Mackenzie, E.L., Pte., 1917
In Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 291087 Private Evan Llewellyn Mackenzie, serving with the 1st/7th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, who died 29/12/1917.

Morpeth Herald 11/01/1918 carries a brief obituary:
ROLL OF HONOUR
MACKENZIE.- Died of wounds received in action on December 29th, 1917, at No.2 Canadian C[asualty] C[learing] S[tation], Ligssenthock [sic], near Poperinghe, Belgium, aged 21 years, Private E. Llewellyn, N.F., dearly beloved son of Daniel and Alice Mackenzie, The Willows, Red Row, Broomhill. Deeply mourned.
