Morpeth Herald 08/06/1917 carries a brief obituary:

Lance-Corporal James Elliott, N.F., son of Mr Ed. Elliott, Park Road, Blyth, is reported having been killed in action on May 13th [sic]. He was 24 years of age and a miner at Crofton before joining the Army.
