In Ancre British Cemetery, Beaumont-Hamel is the Commonwealth War Grave of TynesideZ/7435 Able Seaman George Graham, serving with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 15/11/1916.

In Ashington (Holy Sepulchre) Churchyard is a family headstone for Graham which reads:

In loving memory of
Elizabeth
beloved wife of William Graham
who died at Ashington
July 30th 1933, aged 70 years.
Also the above William Graham
Died 21st Dec. 1937
Aged 76 years.
also their beloved sons
George and William Lauder Graham, R.N.D.
Killed in France 15th & 13th Nov. 1916
aged 21 & 19 years.

Margaret Allison adds that in 1911 his address was 94 Woodhorn Terrace, Ashington.

Colin Boyd has submitted the following:

George was born on 13th April 1896 and was working as a baker living with his father, William at 90, Castle Terrace, Ashington when he enlisted in the Royal Naval Division on 15th September 1915. George joined the Nelson Battalion on 28th February 1916 and was posted as killed in action in France on 15th November 1916.

George was the brother of William Lauder Graham of Nelson Battalion who was assumed died of wounds on 13th November 1916.

George Graham is remembered in Ashington on A17.01 (A11.27) and A17.43
