In Brandhoek New Military Cemetery No.3 is the Commonwealth War Grave of 61432 Private George Gibson Hall, serving with the 1st Battalion The Queen’s (Royal West Surrey) Regiment, who died 29/05/1918.

In Newcastle (St. John Westgate & Elswick) Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

loving memory
of
Robert Hall
the beloved husband of
Marion Hall
who died November 1st 1915,
aged 62 years.
Marion Hall
widow of the above
who died October 6th 1917,
aged 59 years,
also their eldest son
George Gibson Hall
killed in France, May 29th 1918
aged 30 years,
interred at Brandhoek Cemetery
Vlamertinghe.

Eldest son of the late Robert and Marian Hall, of 24, Grove Street, Newcastle-on-Tyne, husband of Janet B. Hall, of Abbey House, Earsdon, Northumberland.
