In Le Quesnoy Communal Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 51180 Private Andrew Brown, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 10/08/1918.

Ron Carson has provided the following:

Andrew was born in 1896 at Newcastle upon Tyne, the son of George of 98 Sycamore Street, Gosforth.

He enlisted at Newcastle with ‘B’ Company, 1st/5th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers and was taken a Prisoner of War.

Andrew died from Epidemic Cerebro Spinal Meningitis on 10 August 1918, aged 22.

Andrew Brown is remembered in Gosforth on G9.21, G9.22 and G9.30 and in the Battalion Roll of Honour
