Newcastle Daily Journal 09/04/1920 reports proposal to be proceeded with, paid for by freewill offering and no canvassing.

Diocese of Newcastle Faculty No.778 12/12/1921 (The wording here is "Remember the men belonging to this parish who died in the war 1914-1918. May light perpetual shine upon them and may they rest in peace." This appears not to have been used).
