Norman was born on the 5th July 1922 in Usworth, Co Durham to Robert and Charlotte Armstrong, of Washington, County Durham. He was trained at H.M.S. Caledonia after entering the Navy. Norman was 18 years old at the time of his death.
Norman Armstrong is remembered in Usworth on U9.05 in Washington W96.01 and in our List of Ships’ crews.
