Almond of Gainsborough Lodge, Frinton on Sea, he is buried in St. Sever Cemetery, Rouen, France Grave Reference: Officers, B.5.29.

Editor’s Note

There was a large Military Hospital at St. Sever, Rouen. Clearly his unit and his death indicate that he died of an ailment/accident rather than being on active service.

Acknowledgments also to Reg. Hornsby

Charles Percy Almond is remembered at Monkwearmouth on page 164, in Newcastle on NUT009 and on the Masonic Roll of Honour where he is described as being a "Master Mariner."
