Son of Ellen Pruin (formerly Stirrup), of 14, Alex Terrace, Sulmiside, Newcastle-on-Tyne, and the late Thomas Stirrup.

Thomas William Stirrup is remembered at Marley Hill on M34.01, M34.03 and M34.06 and at Whickham on W86.08
