Notes

1. From the district, 607 men had volunteered, 317 from Marley Hill; 70 from Andrew’s House; 139 from the Coke Works; 81 from Byer Moor. 15 gained distinctions.

2. A collection taken at the dedication service which resulted in £4. 6s being sent to St. Dunstan’s Hostel for Blind Sailors and Soldiers, after defraying the costs of the service.
