In Benfieldside/Blackhill Cemetery is a family headstone for Moss which reads:

In loving memory of
George Moss
who died February 10th 1941 aged 85 years
also his dear wife Isabella
who died August 26th 1944 aged 83 years
also their beloved grandson Stanley Chilton
Lost at sea April 1940 aged 23 years.

Stanley Chilton is remembered at Consett on C101.01 and on our List of Ships’ crews
