In Railway Dugouts Burial Ground (Transport Farm) is the Commonwealth War Grave of 3316 Private James Stokoe, serving with the York and Lancaster Regiment who died 28/08/1917.

A brief mention with photograph appears in Howick's First World War Stories; Avril and Arthur Meakin, The Howick Heritage Group 2015, page 44.

James Stokoe is remembered in Berwick on B25.01, and B25.29, in Howick on H78.01 and in Tweedmouth on T31.01
