Original Location

South Shields Police Station, Formerly Keppel Street, in the corridor opposite to the main entrance. main entrance. NZ 372672.

Present Location

Police station transferred to Station Road, the memorials were taken from Keppel Street and relocated. They now hang in the foyer.

Memorial Description

Plaque, upper one of two occupying a wood pattress approx. 3 feet (912mm) square. There is a single line border. The dedication is in capitals, the top line being in elaborate script, the rest in Roman. The names are listed in three columns, using sans serif capitals. The quotation at the bottom is in Gothic script.
