Plaque 2 feet 9 inches high x 1 foot 9 inches wide set on a marble pattress 2 inches wider. There is a raised border of leaves. At centre top is a cross, raised in half relief and coloured red, below which is a ribbon bearing the dates. The lettering is in raised Roman capitals.
