Roll of Honour 1914-18 St. George Presbyterian (S140.060)

   St George’s Church
   Presbyterian of
                     England.

I with uncovered heart In every nobler mood
Salute the Sacred Dead We feel the orient of their spirit glow
Who went and who return not- Part of our life's unalterable good
Say not so Of all our saintlier aspiration

I see them muster in a gleaming row They come transfigured back
With ever-youthful brows Secure from change in their high
   that nobler show; hearted ways
We find in our dull road their Beautiful evermore, and with the rays
shining track Of morn in their white Shields of
                                       Expectation!
