Memorial Description

Plaque 3 feet 1 inch high x 2 feet 1 inches wide on light oak pattress 2 inches wider all round. It has a raised top. There is a wide border of Celtic knotwork interspersed with squares in which are depicted the badges of the regiments of those named. All lettering is raised in casting and polished leaving a dull background. The lettering is Roman capitals throughout apart from the quotation at the bottom which is in lower case.

Notes

1. This memorial was featured in an exhibition of glass held in the Laing Art Gallery c1995. It had been restored for the occasion

2. The name of the lender is Mr. T. Steanson. This is probably a relative of D. Steanson named in the 1914-18 section of the memorial
