Memorial Description

Plaque, 3 feet square, of classical style, with a round pillar at each side supporting an arch which is decorated with leaves and flowers in half relief. The inscription is in the space between the pillars, with the names in two columns. The lettering is in sans serif capitals. The quotation runs along the bottom, and is in italic capitals.
Below the list of names on the main panel has been added a small plaque 3 inches high x 10 inches wide on which the single name for 1939-45 has been painted in white Roman capitals.

Notes

1. 100 men had joined from the Club to take part in “that lamentable war”.

2. The memorial is described in the Morpeth Herald as "standing out seven inches from the wall" and carved from a solid block of marble weighing 3˝ cwts.
