Memorial Description
Plaque on black pattress 3 feet square, surmounted by carved draped flags on either side of a shield bearing a crest. The lettering is in Roman capitals throughout.
Materials used
White marble on black pattress.
Inscription
In memory of
George Austin Paterson Younghusband
Lieutenant 13th Regiment Bombay N.I.
and adjutant 5th Regiment Punjab Irregular Cavalry,
who was mortally wounded in action near Futteghur,
on the 2nd of January 1858
and died two days afterwards.
Erected as a token of their sincere regard
by his brother officers
of the 13th Regiment Bombay N.I.
