Memorial Description
Lamp of Maintenance.
The lamp is made like the lamps used by the early Christians in the Catacombs of Rome and bears the Latin inscription “In lumine tuo videbinus lumen” (“In Thy light shall we see light”).
It bears two crosses emblematic of Ypres.

Notes
1. The lamp had been lit in London by the Prince of Wales the week before. Was this a duplicate sent to all branches of Toc H?
