Memorial Description

Wood frame 29 inches high x 23½ inches wide with glass front containing three sheets of paper, each bearing a single line border culminating in a red square containing an ?oak leaf. The top sheet, set in landscape format, bears the title, dedication, the badge of the Paratroop Regiment and the lines from Binyon's poem "For the Fallen".
The two lower sheets, presented in portrait format, bear the names in a single column on each, printed in black with the initials in red.

Names

Notes

1. The Motto “Utrinque paratus” translates as “Ready for Anything”.

2. These men did not necessarily die in wartime. The dedication is to “deceased members of the Sunderland District Branch”.

3. The case has a label saying that the Curator of the memorial is Stan Fowler, whose name also appears as the copyright holder alongside the date 2001.
