Memorial Description

Book of Remembrance 228mm (9 inches) high x 304mm (12 inches) long, in a tailor-made case below the plaque D40.42.
The names are listed five to a page. The binding is of blue leather with the badge of the Royal Signals embossed in gold on the front. The whole is written by hand.

It was dedicated to their memory at the / unveiling of the Regimental War Memorial / by / Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal / Colonel in Chief of the Royal Corps of Signals / 26th October 1952.

Notes

1. This memorial was unveiled and the Roll of Honour handed over for safe keeping by H.R.H. the Princess Royal C.I., G.C.V.O., G.B.E., R.R.C., T.D., D.C.L., Ll.D., Col. in Chief of the Royal Corps of Signals on 26th October 1952.

2. The photos shown are scans of a photocopy of the original, which explains some of the smudges.
