Notes

1. The fund started “by the workmen of the yard and to which the company contributed equally with the workmern in order that parcels might be sent to their fellow workmen serving in the Forces and to assist their dependants at home”. This fund reached £4,000.

2. At the unveiling, Mr. Dugdale presented wallets and treasury notes to the families of two men who died, and gold watches with gold alberts and medallion to others who had gained decorations. Their names are listed below memorial transcript.
