Memorial Description
Two pews and kneeling desks. Shorter of the pews is 145 cm long and 149 cm high (measured to the tip of the carving at each end of the pew) and is fitted with a cushion in the Regimental colours and with a Regimental cipher (see photograph).
The accompanying kneeling desk is 146 cm long and 74 cm high – furnished with three hassocks, again in Regimental colours and with a DLI cipher
The dedication is carved into the inside of the back of the smaller pew using serif capital letters.
The larger, rear pew is 232 cm long and 151 cm high – again to the tip of the carving, and the kneeling desk is 229 cm long and 74 cm high. Fours hassocks are provided for the kneeling desk, of the same design, as is a similar seat cushion for the pew.

The oak seating in this Chapel was given in 1934 in memory of
Col. C.E. Wilson of the 1st Battalion Durham Light Infantry.
