Cook, O., Pte., 1917
In St. Julien Dressing Station Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 17/662 Private O. Cook, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 30/10/1917.

The Teesdale Mercury 14/02/1917 reports:

Private O. Cook, of the North Eastern Railway Battalion (Northumberland Fusiliers) has returned to France, after spending ten days' leave with his parents."

The Teesdale Mercury 07/11/1917 reports:

"Mr. and Mrs. Cook, of Boldron, have received an intimation of the death of their son, Private Oliver Cook, of the Northumberland Fusiliers, in France. The deceased soldier, up to the time of enlistment, worked at Hulands Quarry."
