Dedication, Creation or Publication date

Unveiled February 1921 by Capt. J.J. Bell-Irving; dedicated by Rev. Canon Gough, Rector of Barningham and Rural Dean.

Memorial Description

Cross of Saxon design approx. 2 m high. It has three panels. The dedication is on the front panel using sans serif capitals with the dedication in italics. The names are carried on bronze columns on each side.

It was cleaned and refurbished in 1995 by Messrs. Bainbridge Bros. of Darlington.

Notes

1. The parishes of Boldron and Egglestone Abbey were invited to have a joint memorial.

2. One proposal was for a stone seat
