Allison, T.W., Pte., 1941
In Reykjavik (Fossvogur) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 4458107 Private Thomas Wilfred Allison, serving with the Durham Light Infantry who died 15/06/1941.

The Teesdale Mercury 25/06/1941 reports:

Mr. and Mrs. George Allison Street Head Farm, Startforth, have received from the War Office the sad intelligence of the accidental death of their youngest son, Pte. Thomas Wilfred Allison, while on active service. Before the war Pte. Allison worked on his father's farm, being a familiar figure in the daily milk delivery. He was much liked by all who came in contact with him."
