In Aubigny Communal Cemetery Extension, Pas de Calais, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of Second Lieutenant Robert Armatage serving with the 21st (Tyneside Scottish) Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers who died 06/06/1917.

In St. Andrew's Churchyard there is a family headstone which reads:

In loving remembrance
of
Edward son of
George and Annabella Armatage
who died at Houghton Nov. 15th 1885
aged 9 months.
Also of John, son of the above
who died at Houghton Quarry House
March 18th 1906 aged 5 years & 6 months.
Also of Norman, son of the above
who died at Houghton Quarry House
May 15th 1908 aged 9 months.
Suffer little children to come unto me.
Also of the above
George Armatage
who died at Quarry House Houghton
March 25th 1913, aged 60 years.
Also of Robert, son of the above
who died of wounds
on June 6th 1917, aged 25 years.
Interred in Aubigny Cemetery, France
Also of Annabella Armatage
wife of the above George Armatage
who died Feb. 16th 1932, aged 67 years.
Also of Annie Armatage, eldest daughter of the above
George and Annabella Armatage
who died ?June ?25th aged 47 years.

A faculty was granted for a plaque to his memory inside the Church, but was apparently not implemented.

Robert Armatage is remembered at Heddon on the Wall on H35.01 and H35.03, in Morpeth on M17.11 and in Newcastle on NUT126
