Morpeth Herald 20/04/1917 carries a brief obituary:
ROLL OF HONOUR
WHITFIELD.- Died of wounds, April 12th, in Leith War Hospital, aged 27 years, Driver Henry Whitfield, R.F.A., beloved son of George and [the] late Eleanor Whitfield, of Chevington, Acklington, and was interred at Broomhill [sic] Cemetery (with military honours), on April 18th.
