Taylor, T., A/Smn., 1917
In Orchard Dump Cemetery, Arleux-en-Gohelle is the Commonwealth War Grave of Tyneside Z/7052 Able Seaman Thomas Taylor, serving with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 23/04/1917.

Colin Boyd has provided the following:

Thomas was born on 22nd July 1885. He was working as a miner living at 4, Front Street, Annitsford when he enlisted in the Royal Naval Division on 18th August 1915. His next of kin was stated to be his mother, Eliza living at 36, Office Row, Burradon Colliery.

He joined the Drake Battalion on 28th February 1916 and was hospitalised with Influenza on 19th September 1916.

After re-joining the Drake Battalion on 2nd December 1916 Thomas was killed in action on 23rd April 1917.

Thomas Taylor is remembered in Burradon on B73.02
