Unveiled July 1922 by Cllr. Walter Stell, Chairman of Longbenton Urban District Council.

Memorial Description

Plaque of dull steel set in a wood frame. At the top, set in its own frame, is a plate bearing the name of the school. Below this, also set in its own frame, is another plate bearing the dedication. The names are on a larger plate below this, listed in a single column. Lettering is in Roman capitals throughout.

Dull Steel. (A metal plate pinned at the bottom says "Not to be polished").

Subscriptions from the pupils.

Notes

1. This was described at the unveiling as "a long list for a small village".

2. This plaque is identical in style to those in West Moor Council School, Killingworth, (K9.03) and Crookham Council School (C66.02).

3. This memorial was relocated from the old school to the new Burradon Primary School, and rededicated on 30th June 2006.
