On the Thiepval Memorial is the name of 13873 Private George Henry Stevens, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 03/08/1916.

The Blyth News 04/08/1921 carries an In Memoriam notice:

STEVENS - in loving memory of my dear husband, Pte. George Henry Stevens, N.F., who was killed in action August 3rd, 1916.
Silent thoughts, secret tears,
Keeps his memory very dear.
Ever remembered by his loving wife and son, father-in-law, mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. A. Dingwall, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

George Henry Stevens is remembered at Blyth on B42.24 at Cowpen and Crofton on C58.01 and at New Delaval onN51.01
