Milburn, J.P., Sgt., 1917
In Tincourt New British Cemetery, Somme, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 21/1014 Sergeant John Patrick Milburn, serving with the 21st (Tyneside Scottish) Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, who died 31/08/1917.

He was the son of Edward and Isabella Milburn, of Cramlington, and the husband of Margaret Helena Milburn, of 32 Sea View Villas, Newtown, Cramlington.

Morpeth Herald 21/09/1917 carries a brief obituary:

Mrs Milburn, of Storey Street, Cramlington, has been notified that her husband, Sergt. John Milburn, has been killed by a sniper.

He is remembered in Cramlington on C60.01 and C60.03
