In Cramlington Old Burial Ground is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of 63054 Air Mechanic 2nd Class Ernest Edward Hall M.M., serving with the Royal Flying Corps who died 25/07/1917.

The family headstone reads:

In Loving Memory of
2nd A.M. Edward Ernest Hall, S.A.G.R.F.C.
beloved son of
Edward & Jane Hall
Station Road, Cramlington
accidentally drowned at
Turnberry, Ayrshire
on July 25th 1917, in his 30th year.

"Father, in thy gracious keeping
Leave we now Thy servant sleeping."

Also the above
Edward Hall,
who died Sept. 11th 1929,
in his 81st year.
Also the above
Jane Hall,
who died April 6th 1930,
in her 80th year.
Jane Eleanor, their daughter
who died Feby. 12th 1935,
in her 60th year.
also Mary Hannah
died Sept. 19th 1955,
aged 81 years.(their eldest daughter).
Also Constance their daughter
died February 23rd 1959, aged 79 years.
