In Blyth Cemetery is a family headstone, the top of which is slightly damaged, which reads:

…..her
… beloved wife of
Thomas Parker
who died Jany. 15th 1902
aged 61 years.
The above Thomas Parker
died August 12th 1912
aged 66 years.
Their grandson
William Ewart Parker
died from wounds received
in action Sept. 22nd 1917
Buried at ?Proven, Belgium
aged 19 years.
Mary, their daughter, died
April 9th 1929, aged 54 years.
Isabella Maxwell
Parker their daughter , died
March 23rd 1944 aged 64 years.

William Ewart Parker is remembered in Blyth on B42.09, B42.10, B42.24 and B42.29 and in the D.L.I. Book of Remembrance page 258
