Memorial Description

Font, octagonal, 14½ inches diameter, resting on slender oak column 40 inches high. Five faces of the sides of the font bear brass plates, the other faces are carved with an abstract pattern. The lettering in each case is sunk in casting and enamelled black using serif capitals.
The five plaques represent various other churches, now demolished. Zion Methodist B42.06; Regent Street Primitive Methodist B42.07; Bridge Street Wesleyan Methodist B42.10; Beaconsfield Primitive Methodist B42.35 and Bowes Street Methodist B42.36

Oak with brass plates, one for each of 5 different churches, each one being treated separately in this record.

1. The Blyth Central Methodist Church (originally Bridge Street Wesleyan Church) was demolished in 1989 and replaced by Blyth New Central Methodist Church, Beaconsfield Street, opened 1990.
