Dixon, J.W., L/Sgt., 1917
In Torreken Farm Cemetery No.1 is the Commonwealth War Grave of 14827 Lance Serjeant J.W. Dixon, serving with the Dorsetshire Regiment who died 13/06/1917.

In Blyth News 13/06/1921 is the following:

"In Memoriam.
Dixon – In loving remembrance of my dear son Sergeant John William Dixon, of 42 Gladstone Street, killed in action June 13th, 1917, and 19 years.
Yet through the gloom we seem to hear his sweet voice say:
Not lost to you my dear ones, just gone a little while before.
Never for gotten by his loving mother and father, brothers and sisters, and all relatives.

He is remembered in Blyth on B42.24 and B42.32
