Dunn, R.A., F/Sgt., 1944
In the Sai Wan War Cemetery, Hong Kong, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1030419 Flight Sergeant (AG) Richard Applegarth Dunn, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve who died 06/04/1944.

Simon Glancey has submitted the following:

He was killed in Consolidated Liberator Mk.III BZ952 ‘X’ of 357 Sqn, R.A.F., which flew into a mountain in cloud, 30 miles west of Weining, China, on April 6th 1944. Also killed on board were Sgt. Sgt. James Walton Ridley of Acomb and 1564130 Aircraftman First Class Charles Henry Hutt of Gateshead.

Richard Applegarth Dunn is remembered in Byrness on B91.03
