In Pink Farm Cemetery, Helles is the Commonwealth War Grave of Tyneside Z/1257 Able Seaman James Cook Wilson, serving with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 20/11/1915.

Colin Boyd has provided the following:

James was born on 27th February 1888. He was working as a miner, living with his father, John, at 4, King George's Road, Newbiggin-by-the-Sea when he enlisted in the Royal Naval Division on 7th November 1914.

He joined the Hawke Battalion on 20th February 1915 and went sick on 27th May 1915.

After rejoining the Hawke Battalion on 8th November 1915 James died of wounds in Gallipoli on 20th November 1915.

James Cook Wilson is remembered in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea on N10.03, N10.06, N10.14 and Book of HonourN10.15
