Sources of quotations:

They shall grow not old . . . . For the Fallen Siegfried Sassoon.
When you go home . . . Written after the Great War by John Maxwell Edmonds (1875-1958) but most famously quoted on the memorial at Kohima, Burma. It was
suggested by Major John Etty-Leal, and thought to be based on the Greek Simonides who wrote after the Battle of Thermopylae: "Go tell the Spartans, thou that passest by / That faithful to their precepts here we lie".
